A couple of us distributed the mini WTF flyers around campus near the computers and to other popular areas. The WTF made people curious and I was told some picked them up to see what it was all about. I also stuffed the on campus mailboxes with the 1/2 page flyers and received an e-mail today from a student who is interested in joining our student org. That made my day! I also posted the posters around campus.

At Loyola we printed out flyers from the website and had a ton of those postcard petitions. We then set up a bake sale in the most trafficed building on campus. While the baked goods drew people in, we would in form them about FOCA. We even bribed them with free cookies/brownies if they signed the postcards. We ran out of post cards, flyers, and had a few great conversations. Overall, success!

Here in Michigan, I passed out fliers to ppl at my college campus. I observed ppl reading the handout. Honestly, I’m going to ask my campus ministry to organize some kind of group so I don’t have to do it alone.

Our Students for Life group at IIT also promoted the What the FOCA campaign throughout the student org fair. We handed out hundreds of the mini-fliers and posters and sparked a lot of meaningful conversation!

I must stress to maintain a positive outlook while doing this type of activism. There were plenty of cold shoulders and rude people that crossed our path today, but they were nothing compared to the deep and involved dialogues about FOCA and what it means for our women and our nation.

Bradley University Students for Life distributed over 200 full or half-page flyers in our Student Center. Also, a bunch of us went out last night and “flyered” the dorms and various academic buildings. We were able to talk to Res Life staff and even the student body president, who assured us that this legislation would be discussed at the next Student Senate meeting. WTF?!?!
